If you appreciate our First Phrases application, you may find this app appealing as well. Fun with Verbs & Sentences serves as a progression for children aiming to enhance their ability to construct sentences, comprehend verb tenses, and compose basic structures.
Designed for children between 3 and 6 years old, this app showcases vivid color illustrations and 266 enchanting animations, representing a modern approach to illustrating and educating action words. The app, tailored for the iPad, is the "full" version offering an interactive way to display sentence construction from left to right (focusing on early literacy concepts) and arrange sentence components in the correct sequence. This comprehensive version supports up to 75 users and groups and includes data tracking capabilities.
Among its functionalities is the "Watch & Say" activity, allowing users to display animations to prompt sentences and verb forms succinctly. This feature also doubles as an effective pre/post assessment tool. Users can select from 39 verbs or opt for random selection and choose the desired sentence structures.
But there is more to this app! Engage with the "Build a Sentence" activity:

 <li>Choose your subject from three character options: a boy, a girl, or a bear. You can further practice pronouns by selecting "he" and "she."</li>
 <li>Select a verb for the character; options include using the Custom Verb setting or choosing randomly among actions like draw, jump, or eat.</li>
 <li>Pick an object or prepositional phrase relevant to the chosen verb.</li>
 <li>The narrator will articulate each part of the sentence sequentially while displaying associated pictures: "The girl...is drawing...a cat." The child is encouraged to repeat the sentence after the model.</li>
 <li>An animation illustrating the sentence will be displayed along with a sound effect.</li>
 <li>The child will be prompted to verbalize the full sentence independently and review their recording against the target phrase using a playback feature.</li>
 <li>A reward game named "Pop It!" can be accessed at designated intervals.</li>
</ol>
The app's settings allow users to adjust pronouns and target syntax structures while providing comprehensive data collection for individuals and groups.
